  1. Good question. Not all of them in my opinion. But a wise friend and the mother of child with special needs recently said “awareness is more than a bumper sticker. It means understanding and accommodating.”
    I think we still have a long way to go in understanding the relationship between the mind and the brain, or rather, the chemical and physiological aspects of mental illness. I think this would go a long way in clearing the stigma.
